Muscovado Sugar - Barbados Sugar

Muscovado, or "Barbados sugar", is a moist, unrefined, naturally dark brown sugar with a strong molasses flavor that is a little coarser than other brown sugars.

Muscovado’s taste and color comes from the sugarcane juice that it is made from. It has a resistance to high temperatures, a long shelf life and is usually used for making rum and for baking. Muscovado sugar can be substituted in recipes where brown sugar is called for.
